A few months ago, I had the interesting task at work of trying to make these cupcakes a reality. Mission accomplished, and it all came to fruition this weekend. My company’s editor-in-chief was retiring after 35+ years of service. Amazing right? We took her 10 favorite books and projects, and made them the books on top of these decadent cupcakes. It was the centerpiece (and dessert!) of the entire party, and with 120 cupcakes all staked on antique books.
The book wall behind the cupcakes was another fun project, with Sharon’s books stapled and taped open for all to see. Although a haphazard mess in the pictures, in person it looked a lot more like organized chaos. I love these sort of projects, and I wish every workday was like this.
